Comments: Switched from my hifiberry dac to the micromega dac, which has a much better sound quality. The fan of the MyAmp is pretty noisy, this is a big disadvantage. I do use it in my study and have to turn it of when i am not using it.

I have the same amp (in black), and discovered the hard way that the speaker wires can have a dramatic impact on heat generation in the MyAmp, which is what ratchets up the internal fan speed (and constantly tripped the overheat circuit in my case).

I have had much better luck with the Tellurium Q Blue speaker wires I am using now (info here: https://telluriumq.com/blue-speaker-cable/). No overheating, and no more harsh fan noise. It might help to see if an alternate speaker wire might calm your MyAmp in the same way.

Name: Nuprime DAC-9
Receiver: XMOS USB 2.0 chipset
DAC: AK4490 EQ
Async: YES
Working with Volumio: YES
Tested Versions and Platforms: 2.201 & Raspberry PI 3 (Volumio version 2.041 works as well)
Harware Mixer on Volumio: YES (but not needed)- use the build-in volume control instead - much better.
HW Mixer string:
Comments: Working out of the box. If the DAC is turned off while Volumio is playing -> Volumio will not play any track when the DAC is turned on again, and Volumio needs to be rebooted before working properly again. If Volumio is not playing when turning off the DAC, it does not have any problem working after powering up the DAC from standby. Waiting for the Digione to see if it a USB-only problem.
