Update the database through API?

Postby erwinelling » Mon Dec 04 2017 23:08

I am using Volumio to power the player part of a recorder I am building.

I recently updated to Volumio 2.323 and it seems I cannot add my recorded wavs to playlist and the queue before they've been scanned by the music database. I think I used to be able to do that.

Is there a way to trigger a database update through the websocket API?
Or to circumvent the need to have new files scanned before I can add them altogether?

I would also like an easy way to trigger a database update through an API call. Does anyone know how to do that?

+1

This should be a core feature. Add new stuff in to library via automation should allow an update to Volumio to update its DB.
