Where is there a howto on setting the Qobuz plugin? I was not able to make it work (esp the app id/key thing TBH).
TIA

You will still need an API key, which is handed over to companies or projects. So basically this plugin does not change much in fact of end-user streaming services support for MPD. If you're interested in knowing why it took us so long and what we needed to do to get TIDAL and QOBUZ to Volumio read here: https://volumio.org/myvolumio-the-new-a ... ic-lovers/

Quoting:

The single most asked question has been: when do we get other streaming services support (namely TIDAL and QOBUZ). Well, we’ve worked really hard since day 1 of Volumio2 development to bring such functionalities.
It turned out to be an extremely complex task, due to legal requirements and technical challenge. So the only way we could make it happen has been creating a cloud service to support them. This is in fact, how we started working on what has later become MyVolumio. So yes, we’ve laid the groundwork for every major streaming service support. And the good news is that we have a great one from day 1.

I can only say it sounds fantastic!
The comparison between Qobuz and locally stored FLACs on the NAS in 44/16 or up to 192/24 I found no differences.
I did not stream the native Qobuz app directly to Volumio.

Qobuz is a fantastic thing!
Rasperry Pi 2 / 3
Connected to Allo Boss DAC 1.2 (with dual Ultra low noise Power supply from DIYINHK, 0.8uV (LT3042), iFi-Audio iPower)
Hypex nCore 400 Amp, Boenicke Audio W5 SE Speaker
Listen to Flac up to 24/192 kHz, Qobuz Hi-Fi Sublime+...

Streaming Tidal/Qobuz to Volumio2

Hi

I use V2.555 on AsusTinkerboard S

I use Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify and Youtube + NOT MyVolumio
The 1st issue is to use Tidal, Qobuz after reboot, need to log out and login again to see Tidal/Qobuz UI.

The 2nd issue is noway to upgrade AsusTinkerboard S eMMC to new version via Auto Mode update. Need re-flash again.

Please have look and hint.
Thank you.

Streaming Tidal/Qobuz to Volumio2

Postby Fraven » Wed Jul 24 2019 13:39

I have my volumio up and running with tidal masters and am pleased with the sound and everything seems to be fine, have had the occasional glitch where it slows but as long as I wait patiently all is well. Having read all the above I only have one question, IS THERE ANYWAY to get it to play at 96/24. During my set up of tidal I had a few issues and asked them and got the response that with a desktop app you can get 96/24 but I can’t find a way to get that to connect to my rpi with hifiberry dac + pro.
Would love to hear a success story!

Thanks

Hi,

Do you use a free Volumio account or one of the payed ones?
I use the free one but only older versions showing the Qobuz/Tidal streaming options.
Using 2.599 these options are going.

Thanks.

Regards,
Ad.
