After many happy years with Daphile I was looking around for a replacement due to:

  1. One man operation no longer developing Daphile
  2. Lingering doubts about the whole Daphile licensing

I had already set up a Volumio system for a friend on a Rasp Pi2 and was pretty impressed. Then I discovered there was an x86 port so I could replace Daphile on my NUC. Deep Breath… It worked perfectly and had the added bonus of a GUI over HDMI on the attached monitor. So happy!

So… I connected a monitor and mouse on my friend’s Rasp Pi2 but could not get it to work, any tips would be gratefully received!

I run both setups with a Dragonfly (One original, one Red) and I am especially happy with the direct volume control. Sound is mesmerising, well done guys!

After a bit of googling I found how to get the HDMI out working. ssh and install keyboard-configuration and then install the touchscreen plugin.

Hi Paul, & welcome

Glad you sorted the problem out, but quick tip to post to appropriate sub-forum with good subject description for maximising replies.
