Matrix X-SPDIF 2 (XMOS U208) support?

Hi,

I just got a new DAC (Metrum Onyx) and I can’t make it work with Volumio, except on a very rare two occasions and that is until restart.

Getting a Matrix X-SPDIF 2 is an option, but will it work with Volumio? On it’s website the manufacturer says it uses XMOS U208 USB.

depends on the volumio version you are running.
If it is a PI, then with the latest kernel version it should work, even with dsd direct.
Of course, no guarantee as I have no such unit to verify, but it is listed as a dsd direct capable usb audio device for that kernel version.
