Is it possible to develop a volumio plugin on a laptop and to start locally a volumio / node server to test/debug it ?

If you plan to write a plugin with no direct hardware interaction ( gpio), an easy way is to run a x86 version of volumio in a virtualbox. Search the forum, bu basically, you have to convert the image before using it VB
Many thanks Balbuze. I did a test and tried to boot a VM using the PC image converted to VDI but that fails to boot
