How to add virtual buttons on Volumio to control RPi3 GPIO

Hello every one,
I’d like to add some software buttons on my Volumio Home screen.
If one of these virtual buttons is clicked on then it should toggle RPi3’s GPIO.
Something like the Amplifier control plugin already liste in Volumio plugins.
