After using Rune for about 6 months I have taken the plunge and swapped to Volumio.
Why?
Simple really Rune no longer functions as well as it does due to the last.fm issues and after growing tired of waiting for music to load I decided enough was enough.
My installation went well and took about 20 mins. I am currently listening to music as I type. I do have a query though.
I currently store my music on an external USB drive that is directly plugged into the PI. With Rune I was able to see the PI on my network so I was able to see up a network location so I could transfer music to it easily after ripping. Kept this nice and simple and I didn’t to have my PC switched on all the time. However I am unable to see my Pi on my network.

Is there a way around this without having to use a network storage device as I do not want to be having to unplug the drive every time I want to add music.
