asus tinkerboard + allo kali + piano 2.1 issue

Hi,

I am quite happy to use Pi+allo Kali+piano2.1. But after I change my pi to asus tinkerboard (version 2.575) I found there are only few dac can be selected. Since I’m a newbie of these could anyone tell me how could I do.

Thank you very much guys.

Hi,
well, though Tinkerboard is, from an audio perspective, most closest to the RPi because of the 40-pin compatibility, it does not necessarily mean software is as well.
Drivers for the DACs and their overlay definitions still have to be prepared and adapted, this is not Volumio’s task.
Asus does that for us and has started with support for the most popular DACs around, but they don’t support every DAC RPi does yet.
Convince them to add yours, it will automatically end up in the Volumio build.

after some research I found a script to put in hw_intf.conf: intf:dtoverlay=allo-piano-dac-plus-pcm512x-audio,glb_mclk

Is it in right way to do or I need to do anything else? Thanks again.

Thank you for your information. BTW, would you let me know the i2c DAC list of asus support please? Or I need to ask asus?
